I'm making some paper mache props for a Uni assignment I have at the moment, and both my little darlings are very interested in the going-ons, which got me to wondering - has anyone used paper mache to make bird toys?
I'm just wondering if it would be safe, and how you would go about doing it (if anyone has). I think you could come up with some very interesting toys if it is a safe method...

I have never used it, but I couldn't see it being too much a problem as long as it is not glue you are using............just flour and water to stick the paper together and a vegetable dye for colouring. Just my opinion.

That sounds like a great idea and as Tracey said as long as the glue is okay go for it I say.

also be careful they don't injest too much of it. So the occassional paper mache toy in my opinion would be fine.
