Poor little baby, it is so sad when they die unexpectantly and didn't have a chance to experience life.

So sorry to hear that flutter passed away. It is never easy when one of our fids pass away so suddenly and you think what the heck happened here. I'm sure that even though you only had him for only a month that he was much loved and spoilt. Wishing you all the best, Anna

yeah it was sad to see him dead eventhought we only had him a short while.... he was much LOVED specially by my 3 year old who is having trouble understanding the concept of death... he thinks he is getting fixed at the doctor despite telling him and even showing him where i buried the bird.

Carmz, maybe if you told your little boy that Flutter had to go away, but is in a safe and happy place. That may help him understand. It's hard for the little ones to grasp these sort of things.

yeah i have given up and just divert his attention when he asks whens daddy going to get flutter back from the doctors. he saw flutter dead so knew there was something wrong...just thinks that he can still be fixed and as stubborn as he is, he always thinks daddy can do anything so he will bring flutter back when the doctor fixes him. he's barley asks where flutter is anymore he is more interested in getting to know our new bird rocko.

i am sorry about your loss, but your little boy reminded me of what my three year old said when Bo died. When he asked where bo was the next day, I could not speak about it so I just said she flew away. Then he kept asking so I eventually told him she had gone to heaven. He seemed to accept that, then a couple of days later while we were shopping he yelled " I hate heaven". I was shocked because at his age I am sure he really does not know what that means. Anyway now he tells everybady that Bo had gone to "madagaska" (you know the movie? , He loves that movie and he believes that is where bo is............................I just agree with him, it is a lovely thought anyway).
