what is this i see about "while the cats away" and "something suss" these to me are all clear indication signals of this deleterious delusion. I think that William and Polly have at least come out into the open a bit more, even though their story telling is to the extreme, my greatest worry is for Frank, Ollie and John. Ollie's quick admission was an actual confession that she indeed does have this affliction of Avian Accumulation and John..tut tut tut, I have been told on good authority that your birds are breeding at an alarming rate, so an admission from you would be a great load off your shoulders, now Frank....YOU are my biggest concern.... as to put it your quiet "barking mad" what sane gentle person would sit and watch the moon for his birds...you need to make an appointment with me ASAP... before you turn to the darkside.
Now I have set a list of Members that I would like to make an appointment with me, i need to hear their confessions as I have not heard much from them and I am of the concern that they will need help, but I must assess them first.
Lovemytiels, MacawVIC, Acaciawattle, Fischer, Vankarhi, Chickabee, Motherhen, Jeremy, Josiedownunder.
three on this list I need to see immediately as I am of the onion that they maybe at the stage of a drivling mess when they can not go past a fantastic bird sale or offer, and yes you are Lovemytiels, Jeremy and not to miss out Motherhen.

Wellcome to the forum Dr Aviary  Its a great relief to me that you found this forum , There are some really addicted members here that need your help desperately  .... Myself included ;D ;D I concur that the psychological reasons for this addiction are ingrained with some members, and may take You some work to get some of them to even admit they have a problem, it's sad really.  Some members are going to extraordinary lenghths to justify thieir purchases of Birds, and are creating totally outlandish and unbelievable excuses  to cover thier activities. I have been worried about this behaviour for a long time   Personally, like you Dr A I worry about Hillcrest Tiels the most, I'm at a total loss in understanding this fixation with the moon he exibits, he has mentioned on number of occassions here on the forum. and seems to spend an inordinate amount of time gazeing at charts of it's cycles and the moon itself, I fear that soon we will hear reports of him sitting on his haunches howling at full moon, Its very sad  .......Please do what you can to help him I sincerely hope some of these members will approach you for help Dr A, some are in desperate need, If you need to ask more questions, I'm available through the Forum ;D ;D |

Well Ok the time has come for me to confess DR  .... thanks to Fischerbut I have been a good boy! ;D This last Xmas i had well over 80 birds but since my last fix I have reduced my flock dramatically.... So if look to the moon for guidance and you think that this is not normal then pleeeease prescribe something that will Help my birds breed biggger lareger better clutches help my behaviour PML  ;D ;D Frank |

Ummm, Doctor have you been looking in my yard..LOL..Sorry I havent told you on my new found friends..Now lets see I have got some new tiels, bourkes, ringnecks, green cheeks, budgies, peach faces. But will never tell how many new ones I have taken home with me  Does buying a new suspened count |

wow 4 whole posts without one mention of my name and so it should be like that because iam the less addicted of them all everything thats brought about my purchase of birds has been completely out of my control is it my fault there are so many pet shops is it my fault they sell so many nice birds ? each time i go into a pet shop and a assistant says" can i help you " i cant just say no can i its utter bad manners so i feel obligated to take at least one or 7 home with to be polite , these pet shops are popping up everywhere i don't think the fault of addiction is with us but with these evil shops i between u and i Dr ab reckon they are the work of the other side "you know the forces of evil?"" which are too strong for us mere mortals to fight so place your blame somewhere else Dr ab ( by the way have u noticed bill email name yes u are right its "Lucifer" now maybe he is working for the dark side , and by the way watch that Fischer he is a crafty bugger he pretends he is after help when really he is hoping u will make him an offsider so he can have our birds and boy could i tell you some stories about Fischer's buying sprees oh and one more thing can we help it if our birds breed and give us heaps of birds thats a part of mother nature another thing beyond our control sincerely innocent Polly |

well it seems that for some members need to explore other avenues to hide there Addiction like Tony now lets look at his post he has painted poor Frank as a serious Addict because he goes by the moon and the stars !!!!!!! one must ask what does Tony go by the stars the moon as well or wait could it be even the weather i think you need to find the answer to this question DR AB
and secondly i think that you may have to give high priority to "" POLLY PARROT "" i mean the name says it all ( serious addict to take the name of her addiction )and to be blaming everybody else (pet shop owners , pet shops and to be blaming a simple nick on am email for her addiction to the dark side of her addiction i personally think that POLLY PARROT may need a season everyday for the next month she has it bad
thirdly
one must ask the big question WHERE IS THE ONE WHO SET UP THE FORUM TO BRING US ADDICTS TOGETHER TO HIDE HIS OWN ADDICTION come on john i think you need to hunt him out as well DR AB as i think he is still in the closet and does not want to come out at all
and finally
since you have opened i have noticed some of tour members have been very quiet and this is concerning and i think the sooner you deal with the likes of POLLY PARROT and Fisher another one who have taken the name of his birds <<<<<<< bill shakes his head >>>>>> and get them on the straight and narrow again then i think our other members will come FORTH and admit there addiction isn't that right Macaw Vic just to get the names starting

PS i would also look out for josiedownunda , LoveMyTiels (another who has it bad taken there adicitions name ) , and DR AB there is only one other that may even be on par with POLLY and FISHER and that is dare i say it ................... yes i must .............. sorry my friend it is for your own good Chickabee the name says it all

Geez Bill, I'm glad I got left out of that last one. I'm over my addiction, I've sold 4 birds in the last couple of days. Howzat for curing addictions. Now let me see I have 4 empty aviaries, lets look at the birds for sale column. ;D ;D ;D

errrrrrrr....ummmmmm......but......ummmmmmm....hmmmmmmmm...........Bill oh Bill...why me, i'm the most innocent one here, I only have a few little tiels....and as for pet shops I can say I walk right past them ever time...well thats what i'll tell them and Dr AB, they wont know i'm fibbing hehehehe...even the other day I saw this really cool shop, oh and you should have seen the most beautiful keet in the window...but I resisted and walked past.....((( NOT )))..i was strong...he was soooo sweet and friendly, wanted scratches all the time...Sooo you see I can do it...un like you other's.
So Dr AB don't worry about me, i'm in control here...your time would be better spent helping the poor unfortunates as the like of BILL.....POLLY....FISCHER....HILLCREST....OLLIE.....well all the others OK....and Don't for get....mr Aussiebirds himself... ;D

BUT... BUT... BUT... I don't think little old me has a problem or an addiction to birds & needs to see Dr. B. Aviary.  I mean just because I kept 13 h/reared tiels & 3 h/reared blue ringnecks for future breeding doesn't mean I have a problem. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D And And just because I got a pair of tiels from Frank, nope that doesn't count. And gee I umm well I swapped some birds with Bill but nope that doesn't count & a man gave me a pair of tiels coz he was going to put them down & I couldn't let that happen so Nope that doesn't count either. So you see I really don't have a problem or an addiction ;D ;D ;D. I mean Frank did advise me to have my nest boxes in by the full moon , but that doesn't make me bonkers. . All five pairs have at least 5 to 6 fertile eggs & the ringnecks have 4 fertile eggs (by the way great advise Frank ) Okay Okay I confess, I did buy a new tiel last year but really I had no choice. One of my tiel fellows had just lost his mate & was fretting so badly, so I really had no choice but to go out & buy a little girl for him. Fat lot of good that was as it turned out a male even though I was assured it was a female. And And okay so I do have budgies, a pair of rosa bourkes, a pair of princess parrots & um well gee some other birds which I sure your not really interested in. Ooops almost forgot about my communal aviary that has a few birds in it. I haven't counted how many birds I have got coz I think I need glasses & can't seem to see how many I have at present. So there you go folks, you can clearly see I don't have a problem at all & for the fact I am getting new aviary's next year doesn't mean I have a problem or an addiction. Cheers Anna |
