Well, I thought I would just share with you all how wonderful my husband has been to me, and still continues to be. As you have seen in previous threads Mick has built me so many different things. He just doesn't stop. I am so totally proud of all that he has made. To top it all off, just the other day a truck arrived in the back yard with...........yep you guessed it..................more steel and more mesh................now we all know what that means. I have had this cage - the ugly one in the picture below, that I have never ever liked........actually was really a pet hate. I didn't want to bring it with us when we moved, but it was useful at the time. Anyway I worked all day Sunday and all day Monday and Mick had those two days off. My busy little beaver set to work and so far this is what is replacing that ugly holding cage. Not quite finished yet, as you can see, but I'm not complaining. Can my life get any better - I ask you. Well yes, it can. Now I can buy some more birds. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

So lucky...........and still so happy after so many years together. Mind you, there is a lot of swearing and carry on whilst cages are being built. Sometimes I think he has missed his calling, he should be building cages for a living, he gets such enjoyment out of it, and the end result...............well it speaks for itself. I really want a pair of blue bonnets. Also I wouldn't mind a pair of Superbs. So maybe when this is all finished I will start looking. But at this time of the year it is a little hard to buy a pair of birds anywhere - let alone one. What an exciting delivery ;D and great job Mick That is a 2 million percent improvement on the old cage ;D OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH, I sooooooooooooo agree, I hated that little holding cage with a passion. This new one will have three sections. Mick is a crafty little lad! well aren't you the lucky duck hey ;D ...... gee how are we going to keep up with you Ellen?? ;D I feel so spoilt at times. It certainly helps that we are both so interested in birds. I have seen so many relationships end because only one person is interested. Sad really........but not me, I am as happy as a pig in ....... well you know how it goes. I am happy also to share with you all, about my flock and things that are done for me, everyone always seems to be so genuinely interested and excited. There is always an open invitation at my house for any of you..........true friends are so hard to find. A lot of my friends think I am crazy because I am so devoted to my birds.

Yeah my husband didn't own a pet before we "got back together this time around"....but he allows me to have them and he actually enjoys them now too and he got a big kick out of Gunny jumping onto his hand (with a welding glove on).......he thought he was just "so great" lol
We are lucky to have partners who share our love of animals hey..........all of here that is. ;D

I wish too!!! I would love to keep them as pets.
We do have them here, but they are free to come and go as they like. I actually pulled a sugar glider out of my fireplace just before this winter started - boy was he a lucky little fella
