We have found a cockatiel. It was hiding in some long grass in one of our paddocks. I would assume it's an aviary bird - it's not afraid of people, but not tame, either.
It's a normal gray, possibly with some cinnamon, with the white stripes on the wings. It doesn't have the yellow face, or orange cheek patches, however, so I assume it's a female. She also has white bands on the underside of her tail. She's been surviving alright out here (she's been around for almost 2 weeks, but she only came close today), but she is a little scruffy and skinny.
She was found in the Bonville, NSW, area.

OK, asked someone who knows more about cockatiel mutations and colours than me (I don't know much! lol)
Yes, the bird is female. She is a whiteface.
