HI THERE, I AM SELLING MY DECEASED FRIENDS MAJOR MITCHELLS AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO SELL THEM FOR? THEY ARE A BREEDING PAIR AND ARE APPROX 6YR OLD. I HAVE ONE PERSON WHO WANTS TO GIVE ME $600.00 FOR THE PAIR BUT THEN ANOTHER PERSON SAID THAT THEY ARE ABOUT 4600.00 EACH.
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE LET ME KNOW WHAT THEY ARE WORTH?

It depends where you live - in Australia, or more particularly in SE Queensland, $600 for an aviary pair isn't too bad - a bit on the low side but not by much. Also in I think all states a license is needed to own them so the buyer will need a license - and you friend would probably have had one.
$4,600 each is a USA price - way over the top for Australia

For my Frank that i purchased less than a month ago who was hand raised from about a week old i paid $500.00 for him from a breeder in Wollongong NSW.
there also was a 2yr old hen for sale in Newcastle NSW they were asking $600.00 but would accept $500.00
but both birds are companion birds not avary birds ..... it comes back to what you can get for them and how tame they are and yes it depends on where you are located
i know there was a pet store in western Sydney, so i am told that is selling a tame one for $950.00
