Keeping Jap quail with other birds

I have a trio of Jap quail in with a pair of Princess parrot's, I know to get egg prodution from the quail they need a good protein feed, I have been told pullet grower or chicken layer pellets crushed is good.
My concern is if my Princess parrots eat this food, will it harm them, or any other birds I decide to put a trio of Japs in with?
