Hi everyone,
Firstly I just wanted to give you all a big thank you for all the help you have given me in the last few weeks.
Just a update on my baby sulpher crested cockies.
They are now 10 weeks old so I have has them 2 weeks already, boy how they have changed in that short time.
Mate though a little pink, thanks to my hubby, is doing ever so well he is the brains, he already will step up onto our arm when asked.
He has been flying with mixed results for the last few days mostly in straight lines but tonight he did loops around the room showing off his turns.
We are so proud of him he also now will fly to us and land on our arms when we call him. What a smart bird. :-D .
Yasi is not quite ready to try flying maybe he is worried about all the crashes he has seen Mate have .
He will do a careful and well thought out drop to the ground either from her cage or perch.
He enjoys running around on the floor and he has the 3 papillons (small dogs) worried he chases them :-D .
Of course I would never lever him alone unsupervised.
He is trying hard to make lots of different sounds not sure if he is trying to talk human or just trying out new sounds, Mate is also doing this but not as much as Yasi.
Should I be worried that Yasi is not yet trying to fly? He is still a big sook and he just loves his cuddles.
He will hang upside down and flap his wings like all crazy and he is also doing alot of stretching of his wings so maybe soon he will give it ago.
Im sure they are like us and dont all work on the same time table.
Is there any tricks I can teach mate? as he is so enjoying trying new things, and he seems to pick things up real fast. He seems to know what we are asking him to do.
He has worked out how to climb up the kitchen bar stools and to get up on the lounge.
Therese
