My question is I have a female budgie sitting on eggs but this morning her partner died. Can she hatch and rear the babies on her own or should I put them under another female also sitting on eggs. She does come out of the box for short periods but I don't want her starving to death waiting for someone to feed her. What should I do.

Move some of her eggs and she will cope with a couple as long as she is coming out to feed, if not remove them all.

Laraine, she will still hatch the eggs andm feed her self, she will come out of the box to feed and should be okay just keep an eye on her breast bone, I would suggest that as soon as she hatches the eggs and the babies fledge get her another partner but wait untill the babies fledge before introducing anothe male to her as he may just kill them.
