I got a large cage from my friend but there is no bird. I love budgies and canaries but since i dont have much money so i think there could be someones want to giveaway their birds and I'm more than happy to take care of them. You could try the parrot rescue centre or let the birds fly free. Both adopt out parrots to those found suitable.

Please note that while birds are beautiful to own, budgies and canaries are not as cheap to care for as you'd think. You need to provide food, perches, toys and enrichment. While this can be done on a budget, a vet can not do things 'on the cheap' for you. You will need to have an emergency fund available for vet visits. If you can't afford the $20 for a budgie, then in my opinion you can't afford to own a bird.

I do hope you fine something to fill your cage but just check the bar spacing before your put something so small into it. Make sure the bird wouldn't be able to get it's head through the bars.
Check out markets in your area you maybe able to pick up a budgie for $10. I know we sell them to the Petshops for $10.
Food you will have to buy but perchs & toys can be home made with out any expence at all. Vets can be expensive but if you keep your bird on a healthy well balanced diet you can almost avoid the Vets.
