Need good home for two cockatiels - South of Bris.

Hi everyone,

I am a complete newbie to this forum, but have read enough posts and threads to know that this is a caring community of bird (and other animal!) lovers.

We have two cockatiels that we need to find a good home for - we have only had them for a couple of months but my wife is finding her asthma is getting a lot worse, and her Doctor has advised us that we need to find a new home for the birds.

The male was hand reared, and the previous owner showed us him climbing round on his fingers etc. We also purchased a female from the same breeder.
They are happy little critters, and we will be sad to see them go, but sadly cannot keep them here.

We were initially trying to track down a bird lover who had lost their birds during the floods, but haven't realy got many ideas on where to start. We are happy to give them away to a loving home.

If anyone has any ideas on locating a good home, please reply. Pickup from Beaudesert.

Good luck with finding a great home. Have you tried contacting the QLD branch of the parrot rescue centre?

They might be able to match you up with someone suitable.

twr / Robyn - I will try getting in touch with the Parrot rescue centre, and see if we can get a match.
carlsandclan - Thanks for the offer, I will keep it in mind - I definitely do not mind driving for a couple of hours for peace of mind, knowing the birds have gone to a great home.

hey! i can take your cockatiels if they are still available.. i am very close to where you live. about 1 minute away lol.. I hope their still available.. i got 2 cockatiels and 2 budgies

Hi chic (and everybody else!)

We still have the two cockatiels needing a good home - my wife really wanted to keep them as they are great company, but her health is not so good and we are now really resigned to finding them so new parents!

I have sent a private message to chic, hopefully it will find her.
