Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me.
I have a long-billed corella that has been acting a bit strange lately. She (I think she's a she!) will be doing her normal daily routine when suddenly she will just stop, freeze, and stare down at the floor. This usually only lasts for 10-20 seconds. If I pat her she normally snaps out of it and is fine.
She is otherwise healthy as far as we can tell, but its really bugging me why she does this. I was even thinking could it be like a type of epilepsy (without fits), because she really seems to zone out each time it happens.
Hopefully she is just deep in thought (or something!) but I thought I would ask the question in case others have seen this in their birds.
Thanks for any help.

LOL. Must be a TOO thing. Our SC TOO does the same thing. I always ask him if he's looking at ants. He'll be running down the driveway & all of a sudden he'll stop & just stare at the concrete. Silly bird. I really don't think it's anything to worry about.
