Hi my seven month old indian ringneck has been biting us and getting agressive for no reason he was handreared and we love him very much but cant really go nere him please help me out There is a very good article at www.indianringneck.com/bluffing/ about this sort of behaviour - hopefully that will help you. Just a question - is the bird clipped, or flying? Often a ringneck that was clipped but has grown enough wing feathers ot start flying becomes somewhat aggressive. cheers, Mike

Yep I did that with all my indoor ringnecks, wings were all clipped. Made them tamer/manageable, yet they were aviary raised birds. If you have his wings clipped and leave his cage door open (assuming he can't fly out the house - even wing-clipped birds can fly off sometimes). And have him where you guys usually hang out, he will come to you in his own time. Maybe he's having some tanty and just wants to be left alone ? If he sees you eating things like fruit/veg or peanuts/ or peanut butter sandwishes, I'm sure it won't take long before you end up having to make extra sandwiches ;D
