I have read that Lorikeets can eat tuna if so how much and how often?

I have read that Lorikeets can eat tuna if so how much and how often? Never heard of that and I would not recommend it at all. Lorikeets have a very specialised diet and a digestive system that has evolved for that diet. Tuna, or any fish or meat for that matter, is not part of their natural diet. Stick to the wet and dry powders, fruits and vegies and lots of nectar bearing flowers. If you have Grevilleas for instance in South African gardens they are excellent for a lorikeet. cheers, Mike |
