Hello,
I just have a question for anyone that might know about the habits of Lapwing Plovers. A nest I've been watching for the past few weeks (as it was typically constructed in a precarious place) has been completely vacated - all eggs and parents are gone without a trace, though they were there yesterday and last night. Does anyone know if this is normal. I would think that a predator would have left some sort of a trace but there's nothing at all to suggest this. Thanks in advance.
