Hi. I'm new to this. My children would like to have a budgie each and we are located in the Eastern Suburbs. Do you know a reputable breeder or pet store near Randwick area that we could contact? Thanks for your help

Thanks for your help Hi Shone, First of all welcome to AussieBirds, my opinion don't buy from a pet shop they will overcharge you for a couple of budgies, at the moment in pet shop budgies are selling for around $60 each, I suggest you seek a breeder and let your children pick their own bird. I have babies at the moment so if you want to come over and have a look at them you are more than welcome just let me know and I will give you my address. We also have a number of budgie breeders on this forum and I am sure they will be able to help you out, I know Lairane has some birds for sale at the moment so you could contact her too. John

I also have 4 3 month old budgies for sale. I'm at Chipping Norton, but John is closer to you at Randwick.

Seriously? I never charged above $25, and even now local shops here are charging no more than $30. Do you know what they are buying them in at? cheers, Mike

The pet shop in Westfields at Liverpool are asking for budgies $40 each or 2 for $75. I know for a fact that they will only give you $10. I thought that was bad enough but $60..........
