He flew off again when i was tkaing him back to his cage last night Monday the 21st. Glen Alpine/ Campbelltown has a band on his left leg 0422916628 What also sucks is my sulphur crested flew off as well. i'm absolutely gutted right now and he has no id band Squirt flew off from Glen ALpine (Campbelltown) yesterday (Sunday the 23rd October). ONly recently started getting flight feathers back. Has a band on one of his legs (left i think). Knows 3 different types of whistles.
Initially he got out and stayed in a tree for a few hours calling back to me when i whistled. Eventually i got a ladder to the neighbours palce and and got up the tree, he came to me and i had him on my finger climbing down when i decided i wanted him to be more secure, so i put him on top of my tshirt and wrapped it over him. almost the the bottom of the ladder when he wiggled free and took off onto a nearby tree. this time he wasnt so high up so i got a broom and put it near him - BAD MISTAKE. he shot off downt he street and i ahvent seen him since. Been driving and walking around whistling but no responses. In the off chance anyone is in the area and finds him or knows someone who finds him piercedsoul@internode.on.net 0422916628

All I can suggest having just gone through all this, is to put lots of signs up. Is he tame enough to come to a stranger? My Superb Parrot flew onto the shoulder of the girl who caught him. You might just get an add into this weeks local paper.

Squirt's Home!! He ended up several km's away,s ome people having lunch dinner saw him in a tree looking sad and went to feed him something. He came down to them so they realised he was friendly and had a leg band. They also kept lorikeets as well which was helpful. They rang the avaian vet nearby who took the details and i called the avian vet the day after asking if anyone ahd reported a found bird.
he got dropped round last night and seems happy to be reunited with Zara and Rocky (although tbh I dont think they noticed he was gone)

Always great to see a fid find home again! I remember when AJ got carried away by wind - I was beside myself! He was so happy to be home again, as I was.
