Quite unexpectedly my cockatiels laid six eggs and hatched all six, all except two were patent raised, she rejected two of them so I pulled them and hand raised them, one bird didn't make it but the other is just fine and is at the moment sitting in with some of our pets birds, all hand raised, sitting up like he owns the place, my wife has done most of the work of feeding him and we have cut his feeds back to one a day unless he starts to eat by himself then we will stop feeding him completely. My biggest concern is the way he is breathing, every now and again he seems to start panting or breathing heavy other than that he seems fine.
I will sell him once he starts to feed himself and I will continue to handle him as often as possible just to get him used to human contact, he is going to make a very nice pet for some caring owner.

My babies often pant if they are being held for too long , even just cuddles for too long and they do it . Its not just Quarrion that do it I have noticed it in Princess Parrots Ive hand reared also .
Hope its nothing too serious .
