Does anyone know how wide (inch-wise) the spacing should be on a ladder that's suitable for a cockatiel? Sometimes whenever I buy a ladder for my birds it doesn't always state on the package what size bird it is made for, or have a picture of a Canary, Lovebird, African grey, etc. to identify the appropriate species.

My cockatiels manage a 2" (5 cm) rung spacing OK - but that is probably the widest spacing that is comfortable for them. While 5 of our 6 cockatiels are fully flighted, the 6th, Gwennie, had a bad break of her wing as a baby 20 years ago and had to have the outer part amputated, so we have always had a ladder against her cage for her to climb up and down on if she wants to get to the floor.
cheers,
Mike

Guess I'll have to take the ladder back to the store. I figured it was too widely spaced for them when I looked at it, and when I measured it the distance between rungs was more than 2 inches.
