hay guys i need some advice about musk lorikeets! i just rescued one from the middle of the road he/she must have been hit buy a car n was sitting in the middle of the road not moving. i gave it some water and it came back to life a bit then took it to a vet the vet said it was ok no broken wings or legs it was just concussed. i have it at home in a cage now it hasent had any water or food yet "but it is more active now". iv given it cut up apricot cherrys water melon ;D and bird seed and this nector powder stuff witch i dont know how to mix it up
any way any advice would be great thanks from jamie & danielle ;D

Fruit and the nectar mix will be fine to give it - just mix the powder with some water to make a thin creamy consistency. It might take a little while for it to realize it is food, but they are quick learners. They ar enot generally seed eaters, so concentrate on the fruit and powder mix.
If it has no broken bones and can fly in a day or two it should be OK to release back into the wild.

are these birds naturaly tame'ish because it will eat out of my hand "ie ill hold the food dish in front of it and it will jump onto the dish and eat. and it will walk up and down my hand n arm.

yes, Musks are usually pretty good - and the injured wild ones seem to know you are trying to help them.
