We have been aging an aviary and plan on having budgies, but also adding finches. I don't know much about finches and wonder what is the best diet for them. Do they eat pellets?

My grandmother has a huge aviary with lots of finches. She feeds them finch mix seed, boiled eggs, millet, peas & corn warmed in the microwave. She also has a bowl of fine shell grit with charcoal in it plus a cuttlefish bone. Hope it helps, her finches are all healthy and breed well so their diet must be good.  |
