Hi, I have a female (I think, based on behavioral observations) rainbow lorikeet named Shia. She's hand-reared and about 3.5-4 years old. She spends most of the day inside with me (provided I'm at home) and has a large cage outside. As far as I can tell she's pretty healthy apart from a leg that gives her a bit of trouble occasionally ever since she got bitten by a diamond python (long story ) My question is, is it normal for lorikeets to take naps during the day? Shia will crawl into my lap, onto my chest or basically any place that's really inconvenient and fall asleep, quite often to the point where I can pick her up and she doesn't wake up unless I poke/shake her (not roughly). Its not really an issue, but I'm just curious to know if anyone else has a bird that does this... Thanks, Shannon
