I have had a really dismal breeding season this year. Even my budgies aren't breeding (with the exception of a couple of show budgies). Has anyone else had any success. I blame it on the soggy summer we are having. Does anyone agree?

My turks did well and have had 2 clutches, 6 babies successfully raised and almost all babies rehomed. The weather over here in WA is so different to over east atm. Another 37 degree day again for us I'm a bit over the summer atm.

We are the opposite on the east coast, nothing but rain and below average temps. We have just had our 3rd sunny day in a row which is very unusual. It's usually sunny in the morning and then we get a storm. A final summer fling before autumn. Not that I envy you WAers with your high temps.

I was so worried for the babies stuck in the nesting box in all that heat that went on for weeks but they made it, luckily they are Australian natives so built for the heat (normally) I guess. The canaries don't seem too bothered either.

Actually we have had a few hot days in a row (now it's raining and their predicting storms) but I have new budgie eggs from my normal budgies. Yippee. On the other front, the tiels are breeding this year and they haven't bred for 3 years. I'm confused. Lol.
