Your white dove is presumably a white Ringneck Dove. They come in a variety of colours and it dosen't matter what colour the mate is - either white, normal or cinnamon or any mixture in between. It doe smatter that you get another Ringneck Dove - they don't normally successfully mix with other species of doves. Do a Google Images search for Ringneck Dove mutations to see the variety that is around, although in Australia we don't have the range that the USA has. cheers, Mike cheers, Mike

Hi Mike,Thank You for the information. My Dove,(Romeo) seems to be quite happy in his Very Lrg. Iron cage.It is made for a much larger bird.My thought was he would have plenty of room for himself & for Juliet. .Doves are new to me.I have always admired them however.I did raise cockateils & I had a small K Parrot many yrs. ago.So I am not totally blind here.LOL.My dove is totally different than other types of birds. As you know, much calmer, not aggressive,,etc. But I see he is bonding to me,which is great..I love it.But I plan to start working a few days a week, in late Spring. My thought was he will be lonely then.As he is used to me being here, playing with him etc.I have another ?,if you do not mind?I have read that Doves tend to choose their mate.Is this true?I have googled Ringnecks,,not much info on raising doves.I did contact a woman in the states here, that sells hand fed doves of all colors.I can't wait to see the colored doves,& pick a mate.. Thanks so much for the input,,& suggestions to all!Good Day to ya!
