No sooner had the 2 babies left the nest that mum and dad were back in there. We have 2 pairs of gouldians. One pair is on their second clutch they other pair have just started. In one nest (the new parents) we had 7 eggs and all seven hatched last week, although when I had peek today I could only count 6, but I am not too upset as I never even imagined that all 7 would hatch as the first parents a couple of months ago laid 6 but only 2 survived.
In the nest of the 2nd time parents there were 8 eggs but only 4 have hatched so far.
Looks like I'll be needing another aviary soon. With 10 babies in the nests and 2 already fledged and doing very well :-) I would attach photos but still haven't figured out how too, probably as I am using my iPad it may be the problem.
