Hi Cyann, I have a female Scaly that does this also, I believe shes just trying to call me back from walking away. Once they bond to you they become quite attached! What is she like with the other members of your family? Anyway, Marley has just reached breeding age so she head knocks me and jumps up and down. Maybe you should get her a little friend?

we thought about this, but we find it hard to find other birds as friendly as her, she does it while im in the room but shes still in her cage, the tears the paper up by clawing it, she likes my my parents, but dosnt like strangers to much.
She layed an infertile egg before and i think i need to get her a nesting box.

Sounds a bit hormonal - perhaps give her a Happy Hut or even a nest box. Although doing that might encourage hormonal behaviour. Is there any problem with letting her chew up the newspaper on the cage floor? Is she behaving OK when out and away from the cage?
cheers,
Mike

Sounds about right, that's all Izzy does all day, I put fresh paper in the bottom when I give her the fruit in the morning and by the time I get home from work I've got a scaly hiding and hopping around in shredded paper Loves it!
