hey people. i am looking for someone who can point me in the right direction, i absolutely love crows. in my opinion one of the most intelligent and majesty of all creatures. i would love one as a companion. i have done ALOT of research on the corvid family (the torresian in particular). i also have prior weaning experience with my mother being equally obsessed as but with "Charlie" her hand-raised red tail black cockatoo "Ned" hand-raised rainbow lori and "Gally" the hand-raised gallah. but i cant seem to find anyone who can help me LEGALLY attain one. if anyone could help it would be much appreciated

Hello I don't know about acquiring a crow but you can get a Raven from Europe for about $1500. I don't know how the quarantine would work but this fellow does ship. Regards Montana

Check your local licensing laws - in Queensland at least it is illegal to keep Crows. I'm not sure what applies in other states, but I suspect many would also ban the keeping of crows. And it isn't possible to import any bird from overseas - including a Raven from Europe. I actually like Crows, very clever group of birds. We have a flock living in our area and I am quite happy to have them around. Only problem is one of our African greys does a very good crow call and they come around to see who the funny looking bird is that calls to them cheers, Mike
