Hi all,
New to this forum.
As well as a few ringneck's I have two lonely/lovely female Alexandrine's that were partially hand raised and are about 5 years old now I guess. They both talk and are friendly to me.
I bought a male and a female when they where just out of the nest but the male got stolen when he was about 6 months old - never got him back! Then the replacement i bought turned out to be a female, so I've now got a couple of girls.
Looking for a pair of males that these two can settle with - if some one has older birds, I'd prefer that are relatively at ease around people as I'd eventually like to gain their trust - at least to the point of a good head scratch without loosing my finger LOL Of course a couple of youngsters this breading season may be all that's available ... have to wait and see
I'm in CQ and prefer to travel to pick up.

Firstly welcome to the Forum Alex's are great birds - we have 10 of them as pets in the house although unfortunately for you none are for sale. I don't know of breeders up your way but suggest you contact a couple of bird clubs that way to see if they have any members that may be able to help. Your local one is the Gladstone Budgerigar & Cage Bird Society their web page at www.gladstonecagebirds.com/breeders%20directory.html includes at least one who keeps Alex's. Also try the Bundaburg Bird Breeders Club on 41551094 - it's been a few years since I was in contact with them but they used to have a good Alex breeder whose name I've forgotten but who I bought some birds from around 2006. cheers, Mike
