Stormy wants a bigger house and a mate

Hi there,

sorry I haven't been on here for a while. There's been some changes in my life and I've been really busy.

Nevertheless, Stormy is going great and a real happy chap.

I recently moved to a new place and like to get a proper aviary and a mate for Stormy.

In regards to the aviary, I was thinking of something like these:

What do you think? Or do you have some idea on where I could get a nice weatherproof aviary for Stormy and a mate in the Rockhampton (QLD) area?

Also, I have the feeling that he's a bit lonely and would like to get him a mate. I think ideally would be a tame female Sun Conure - I guess they wouldn't make double the noise? What other options would I have? Any suggestions welcome! But I do want the new bird to be tame as Stormy is the best and I don't want to loose my feathery friend.

Hello, Stormy is beautiful! I have a sun conure Jewels I bought as a companion bird to my pineapple conure Precious. They get along well and do everything together: bathe, preen and eat. They also sleep in their buddy tent together. I purchased Jewels as a baby and she came home on two hand feedings a day. At first they just wanted each other but now several months later they fly to me to be held and for attention. In the beginning before Jewels came home I took Precious to visit her twice a week. He actually picked her out himself from four other sun conures. If you are able to do that it works well.
Good luck with your Stormy they are wonderful birds funny and gentle.
