I found this poor fellow deceased outside our window today. A sad victim of window strike, I'd say. I saw him in the bushes and grabbed my phone to call WIRES, but when I checked him, he was dead. A very sad day, as I've come to love the little visitors to my garden and keep them well fed with plenty of native flowers and shrubs. I was wondering though what this little guy is? I originally thought he was an Eastern Whipbird, but he's lacking the crest and he is more grey than olive. He also has the yellow wings and tail. We have a pair of whipbirds that have recently moved in, and there is a nest (or perhaps a possum drey) up in the trees where I hear the majority of the birdcalls. I was also thinking he could be a white eared honeyeater? Anyone know? Attachments:

It is a White-cheeked Honeyeater, not a White-eared Honeyeater
cheers,
Mike
