Hello, I am looking at purchasing a sulphur crested cockatoo (already asked if anyone knows of a good breeder in the buy, swap, sell section). My question is however what would be the right approximate age to buy one. At what age are they usualled weaned? Any info you can give me will be great

My question is however what would be the right approximate age to buy one. At what age are they usualled weaned? Any info you can give me will be great I used to sell weaned Sulphur's at around 13 or 14 weeks, even a bit later for some. So look for one that is 3 months old at least if you want it to be fully weaned. Sorry i can't help you with a breeder around Sydney - and I can understand your concern about Beak & Feather - I used to get all my babies tested before selling them so the buyer was assured they did not have PBFD cheers, Mike
