Hi all, any advice would be helpful, while sitting here I could hear Polly making funny little squeaky noises and went to check on her and to my surprise she had layed an egg, she is never in contact with other birds so obviously its not fetilized, and I'm just not sure what to do, do I remove the egg, feed her extra nutrients etc, Please help

Polly must be a bit over 2 years old now, so she has definitely reached maturity. She is likely to lay 2 eggs - and leave the eggs in with her. She may well decide to try incubating them - often for a couple of weeks or more before giving up when she realizes they are not going to hatch. If you remove the eggs before she loses interest in them she may lay more to replace them - and the extra eggs can cause stress on her health. Assuming she gets a good Rainbow Lorikeet diet of wet and dry mix plus fresh food, she should be right for nutrition. If you don't already it would be good to give her some nectar bearing flowers from Grevilleas or Bottlebrush - a good energy source for a Lorikeet. At least you can be sure she is a female now cheers, Mike
