Hi everybody new to this forum.When I found out about this forum I thought great about time there was one on birds.Let me tell you a little about myself and birds.I'm more into the smaller birds,like Budgies and Cockatiels. Currently I only have two Cockatiels a cock and a hen.I can't breed with them,or should I say I won't as the hen is quite and old bird now.They did try earlier this year but (I guess due to her being older) got egg-bond and almost lost her.I did have to work on her to get the egg out.It took her nearly a week to get any better.So I won't put her through that again.She is quite tame and a good girl.So I'll just enjoy playing with her instead. I did however get wright into budgies at one stage there I had 140 birds,and I loved it,but due to changes in life and moving interstate I had to pass the budgies onto a friend of mine.I really didn't want to but had no way of taking them.That was some 4 years ago now,now we have moved again to Brisbane and been here for about 3 months and for no reason at all I want to get back into Budgies.It's getting harder and harder to say to starting up again.Seeing as I have a huge back yard so I have plenty of room to put them.So if I was to find an aviary or shed that I could convert then look out,I guarantee it would be back on again.It doesn't help that my son is behind me going yeah dad lets do it.
