charlie has tried to get out of his cage and has hurt himself, he has started talking again, but when he drinks, he seems to regurgatate seed husks, like he is dry reaching, he seems to be eating alright, but I'm worried he can't keep anything down, what should I do ??

We need more information before we can comment. How old is Charlie? How long have you had him? How did he hurt himself? What sort of cage and where is it kept? Doe he only regurgitate when he drinks? Does he regurgitate after eating or only after drinking? Has he lost weight? Is his behaviour (apart from regurgitating) the same as before his accident.? When he regurgitate is he only bringing up seed husks or complete seed? What else do you feed him apart from seed and how often? What sort of seed mix are you feeding? It might seem a lot of questions but trying to work out a bird's problems via the Internet rather than seeing the bird is hard enough even with all the possible information - so the more you can tell us the more chance of making a reasonable answer. As a general comment do you have a local avian vet you use - and note that the vast majority of vets are OK with dogs and cats but useless with birds. So it is very important to take any bird to an avian specialist vet. If you don't know of any avian vets near you then give us your location and we can see if there are any near enough to recommend. cheers, Mike
