Hi everyone, new here. Lots to learn. I was driving today when I noticed a long billed corella in the middle of the road. He/she wouldn't move and I'm sure it would have been run over. I stopped the car at the side of the road, grabbed a blanket I had in the back seat of the car and threw it over the bird. It has an injured wing. I have taken it home and will take it to the vet tomorrow. I have purchased seeds from the supermarket. It doesn't appear interested in the food. What should I feed it? thank you.

Seed is fine in the short term - if it isn't wanting to eat then perhaps it is in shock. Just leave it in a quiet area with subdued light and with seed and water and chances ar eby morning it will have started eating and drinking. Hopefully you can get it to the vet - if a wing is broken then the sooner it is set and put in a splint the better chance of healing successfully.
Keep us informed about it's progress
cheers,
Mike
