Hi everyone, My breeding pair of Diamond Doves (The two normals, who i thought were split to silver) have given me a shock with their possible splits. in the nest right now (This is their third clutch of chicks) is one normal, and one that looks to be a snow white (?) It has completely white feathers coming through, and red eyes. What mutations of Diamond Dove have red eyes (I'm not sure if its a snow white), and how much would i be able to sell it for? I'll post some pictures when i get some ;D
Thanks in advance ;D

You sure have an interesting pair of Diamond Doves there. The chances the "white" baby will be a fawn. Fawns can be a bit variable from off-white to a pale brown wash as a body colour. The wings tend to have a light grey colour. A photo of a fawn is at www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/merrylands/birds/diamond-dove-fawn-/1013588565If it turn out to be pure white, and with a red eye, then it does sound like an Albino - and I have never heard of albino Diamonds in Australia although they do occur elsewhere in the world. Price of a fawn is maybe around $25 but I have no idea what an albino might be sold for. cheers, Mike

The baby isn't an albino, but I'm pretty sure its a white tailed silver mutation. Over its wings and back looks the same as the silver chick they had, but its lighter, and got a white rump, and white chest ;D
