Does anyone else's birdy drink tea? What else can they drink/eat?

My two African Greys love a sip of tea. I usually let them have a couple of sips from the bottom of the cup when it has cooled enough. They also love a bit of toast, Arnotts Ginger Nut biscuits and Nice biscuits, and every evening I split a Nice biscuit between the 10 Alexandrines. A sip of orange juice is about the only other liquid they get apart from water. Both Greys love Coke as well but they very rarely get a sip of that. My two Princess's enjoy a bit of Weetbix and they get to clean out the dish after my morning Weetbix - competing with Sasha (Ringneck) in the process. The thing to remember in giving our food to them is moderation - if something is safe to give then usually only give a very small amount so it is a special treat, and always avoid the dangerous stuff such a avocado. There is an excellent summary - actually more a long essay - on this subject at www.cockatielcottage.net/diet3.htmlcheers, Mike
