Hello, I am new to this forum and hoping for some advice. My 8 year old son has 2 female Silver King Quails, who up until now have been fine together. Since one of them began laying, she has become very aggressive towards the other one. They also ate the egg that was laid today. What is the best approach ? Do we add 1 male , or as someone suggested add 2 and separate them in to 2 breeding pairs. Or do we just separate the girls ? Any advice would be appreciated . Thank you.

I have king quail, and have had no problems with just one male- as long as your willing to have them breeding... I have found that with more than one female sometimes you can get the male separating with one female- and you have to be sure you have the space for a possible 7 or more extra quails(not that there'll always be fertile eggs, or they'll have chicks, but you never know...)

Thank you for that . We will try 1 male first and see how it goes.
