For those who are interested, I've just posted a brief article on my blog which includes video and audio of a group of Glossy Black Cockatoos I encountered a few days ago in the Macleay River Valley, NSW The video has been compressed somewhat by uploading to vimeo but it was nice to get some footage of these beautiful birds feeding. wildambience.com/glossy-black-cockatoo/Regards Marc Anderson wildambience.com facebook.com/wildambience marcanderson.com.au

Thanks for giving us that link to the Glossy Blacks - great to see. They are quite amazing birds - such a restricted diet in the wild. There is a small population on the Sunshine Coast, mainly around Noosa, and difficult to find without local knowledge. I've also seen them out Moree way in NSW and in Coastal NSW near Coffs Harbour.
cheers,
Mike
