Hi everyone, Finally Zena is getting better, I posted (a while ago) that she was sick (also one one possible plucking) and am happy that she is also looking better She did have a lot of yellow feathers, and was very thin (I could feel the breast bone sticking out) and we took her to the vet but they didn't know what was wrong with her (this vet does dog, cats and birds- although not specialist) first they thought it might have been PBFB, but she wasn't loosing feathers, and i tested her (came back negative). They said if she didn't get better (about a month) that I would have to get her put down I didn't want to get her put down, so I syringe fed her water (I don't force her to take it) and mush kind of stuff (mostly just blended fruit/vegetables) those yellow feathers almost completely disappeared in 2 weeks I had her and her mate (mainly because he was stressing when he wasn't in the same cage a her) in a smaller parrot cage and had both of them out in the house everyday. Now she is Growing back her tail feathers (they kept breaking, but they aren't now) and she one fully flighted wing, with the other wing still growing 2-3 flight feathers. She has been practice flying, kind of the same thin baby birds do (the lots of flapping a lot of the time I think soon she should be able to fly around properly. I have noticed her mate is trying to convince her fly a lot of the time now she still has her broken beak, wheich is slowly starting to grow back, and the top beak had gone thick on one side (from eat food only on one side) but that has been fixed too (by herslef )
