His a character and very happy friendly sorta bird, Anyway my partner and I also have a cockatiel called Rumple, his cute and takes after my partner in every way personality wise. Its funny watching them together. They will whistle to each and everything, Rumple had his first birthday last week and im kinda worried that since I will be getting the mini macaw they might not get along.... Any suggestions as to if its possible or not?? Attachments:

Any suggestions as to if its possible or not?? I would be very cautious about letting a Hahns and a cockatiel interact - cockatiels are the bottom of the pile in the parrot world while Hahns can have an attitud eproblem at times - it is very likely that your Hahns would want to make sure the cockatiel knew who was boss - and a Hahns has a much bigger and stronger beak, quite apart from weighing 3 or 4 times as much! Hahns are however entertaining birds, playful and can be good talkers, but do have a very loud rather high pitched screech when they want to - be sure to start out on the right path from the beginning and ensure that it doesn't become a screamer - get the books and DVD's by Barbara Heidenreich for good behavioural advice - www.birdkeeper.com.au/bird-behaviour-products sells them - a couple of books and several DVD's. cheers, Mike

Hey mike, I thought as much but always best to ask..maybe ill just keep them in seperate cages for I dont want Rumple (our cockatiel) to get hurt... I boughta few books already and have looked into the hahns for few years now.. what birds would theg be more likely to be ok with? As in another 6 months to a year we will be looking at a third possibly...
