Hi, I got a lorikeet from a friend who had to go overseas. I've had him for about 3 months and love him to bits. He has been fun in our household and gets plenty of love and attention. However, over the past week, the lorikeet has suddenly started to attack my girlfriend. He goes out of his way to jump on her when she is sitting down. He seems all fine and then when he goes up to sit on her shoulder he attacks her neck and face. In the few months prior to this he wasn't a problem at all and has suddenly turned on her. Now she is afraid of him and it has taken some of the fun out of having him. The thing is, he has form for doing this as he did it with his previous owners. He was loved for 2 years and then suddenly turned on one of the owners. Ironically it was a female again who brought him up and always fed him. I have noticed of late he has been wanting to hump (lower his body and wiggle his tail). We are pretty sure it is a sexual thing but were wondering if he was just rubbing himself. Anyway, is it possible for a bird to just take a dislike for women? ? Why has he suddenly started attacking my girlfriend biting her on the neck and face. In need of help!!! Thanks!! Geoff
