this small hovering bird is hanging about the long grass with a mate. Have heard them whistle to each other. Only quite small....does anyone recognise it. I am at Pemulwuy, near Parramatta  |

I am at Pemulwuy, near Parramatta Certainly looks like one - they are a small raptor and the light chest and brown body would fit with a Nankeen. cheers, Mike |
