Hi All, Love a good forum! Great info! Our house is ruled by an ~18month old Sun Conure called Birdy (DNA results pending) and (from tomorrow!!) a baby Galah! We love our birds and hope our flock can grow a little more. Here's Birdy doing Blue (Orange!) Steel Jo & Jono in Perth

Hi and welcome to our Forum, hope you enjoy all the information we have here.
Sun Conures are beautiful birds, and Birdy is no exception - one of my dreams is to see flocks flying in the wild in Brazil - it isn't going to happen but it is a nice dream!
Hope to see photos of your new Galah when it arrives - great characters, really an entertaining bird to have.
cheers,
Mike

Welcome to the forum! You Birdy is so bright! I would own conures but they can be loud (to me) and I would need a license ($50+ a year- depending)

As far as I know Sun Conures don't need a license in any state of Australia - in fact I believe the only state that requires any sort of license for exotic birds is Queensland where Eclectus need a license to keep. I do agree about the noise though with Suns - it is a noise that really grates with me! cheers, Mike

I have checked, and sometimes it says you do and other times you don't. So I wasn't sure when the Government site kept changing...
