My bird has a sore foot??

hello everybody - i have been refered here to ask for some advice - i got a baby budgie last weekend and shes 8 weeks old and she has a very sore foot now - she can hardly put weight on her leg and is holding it out off the perch if anyone has any suggestions about something i can do to make it less painful for ehr i would really appreciate it!
