Hi Everyone! My name is Ben, I'm a professional photographer and I have been lurking around here for about a month now. My partner and I have adopted a baby Rainbow Lorikeet called PomPom and I figured it was time I up and introduced you all! He/she was about 8 weeks old when we got him/her, cute as a button and infatuated with apples! At 13-14 weeks he/she is happily tame, has been trained to settle on command (mostly! He/she *is* a lorikeet!), will step up, and this week has graduated to breakfasting with me on her T-stand! He/she has figured out how not to fly into windows and can properly steer and everything! Landing, not so good yet lol, but is managing to stop on the cage, the T-stand and my arm ok! He/she is off to get sexed on friday, and that will save us many forward slashes and make us happy lol! If you wanna check out some more pics and get the full story you can read my blog here, but I'll keep updating you anyway. Anyways thanks for all the indirect help you've given us this month! Im glad to be a part of this forum and even gladder of my baby lorikeet Pom-Pom. See you around! Ben

Also if anyone can help me out with image embedding, that would be great!

Hi Ben, Pom Pom sounds like he/she has settled in beautifully. I can't see your images, but that might be my computer/internet connection. Is that Pom Pom in your profile picture, he/she is just the cutest little thing! Anyway I attached a link for you that should help with embedding images on Aussie Birds Forum. If you go to that thread you will find a list of short instructional videos in the first post, and the one that you need is there. Otherwise you might need to start a new thread to get someone a little more computer-savvy than me to help you... aussiebirds.proboards.com/thread/6443/use-forums-videosCheers, Melissa
