Hi everybody, My almost 12 month old female princess parrot has been displaying some rather strange behaviour as of late and I am baffled to know as to why this is occurring. Nothing has changed in regards to her environment. She is still eating the same foods daily, water is changed daily and has been receiving the same amount of attention from myself and my partner daily. Over the past couple of weeks it feels as though my girl would rather stay in her cage instead of having free flight of the house like she always has and does at the best of times. When we do manage to get her out of her cage she becomes quite nippy and flys straight back to the top of her cage where she wants to be left alone. When trying to get her back into the cage from here, again, she will step back, lash out and bite our fingers when asked to step up. I've noticed some unexplainable shaking of her wings over the past few days also, it's as if she is vibrating. She is a great talker, says "whatcha doing, come on come on" and kisses repetitively. She still chatters and screeches but her behaviour other then talking has changed completely. I've done some research on princess parrots and I've discovered they generally breed between the months of September and December, could this possibly explain my princess parrots behaviour? If anybody has any information or tips they could share with me it would be greatly appreciated! I'd love my girl to be her happy self again! Thank you!

It could be because it is coming to the breeding season... my pair are breeding... and although both are quite friendly my hen does bite when she is in breeding season/condition
