I'm wanting some advice on what birds can get on in a largish Avery.
The birds I like are Rosellas, Lorikeets, Conures, Kakarikis, Ringnecks, King Parrots, Lovebirds, Corellas, etc. Pretty much any medium size birds. I also like Alexandrines but have been told they don't get on with other birds?
My Avery is an octagonal shape, 12 metres across. Each side is about 5 metres, so approx. 40 metres around the outside. Centre of the roof (highest point) is about 4.5 metres. Half is closed in, other half open to the weather, with small pond that circulates through a miniature creek thing.
I only want a pair of each of the birds I pick. Won't be all the ones I've listed. I just want to know what gets on so I can narrow down what I can buy. Also wondering how many birds you would suggest to fit in an Avery that size.
I also like Mandarin Ducks. A friend of mine has some, and they are so cute. Could they go in an Avery with other birds?
Any help would be much appreciated.
