I thought he was a boy but he's a she! It's not fertilised so what should I do with it??

My Lorikeet laid an egg too & I thought he was a boy, we've had him for 7 yrs!
Now he is quietly squawking continuously in his cage, sitting in a large hanginging feeder in his cage.
Could he/she be laying another egg???
