I'm so happy!
My Princess Parrots have just had their very first clutch, Little Miss Grace laid 6 eggs, and all 6 have hatched and are doing so well! If anything, the parent birds have become even more tame after these babies hatched, mum and dad both fly over to my shoulders every morning when I bring in their greens, sometimes its hard work trying to open the aviary door because they'll be there clinging on. These photo's are from last week, so the babies are a fair bit older now, eyes opened, pin feathers on the oldest ones etc.

Well done. What colours did you end up with?

Hi dotrocks, I got two blues and four greens. Unfortunately yesterday, when the second eldest green had its first flight, it shot out like a rocket and broke its neck on the far side of the aviary, died instantly. I buried the poor little thing in the garden next to the rosemary. Today, the next two eldest came out and had their first flight, they are doing really well, and of course the eldest who came out 5 days ago is very good at flying already. Every morning, I bring the babies in and they play around on my craft desk and create havoc. I have been hand-feeding them twice daily in addition to parent-feeding so they are very nice and tame. I love them to pieces! In addition, we have 3 red-rump babies that learnt to fly today, and there are two left in the box. And also two quail hatched for the first time, so we have had a bonanza of babies! Do you have any birdies? Cheers
